Lexicon: IIRC, "gamma" waves have been redefined to be any radiation origionating from a nuclear reaction.1321090120316
Flarp: Will this affect the Hulk?1321090182287
AnotherAnon: ^^ Nope gamma rays are specific frequency range. Like alpha and beta waves or visible light. All can be created by a nuclear reaction, but visible light are not gamma rays.1321120600405
Greeft: ^^Talking about The Hulk, Flarp, I nearly got thrown out of the cinema during the 2003 Ang Lee version because when Eric Bana threw himself in front of the gamma ray machine to protect Jennifer Connolly I burst out laughing and shouted out, "But gamma rays are more penetrating than x-rays, they would have gone straight through him!".1321126280488
Greeft: ^^Lexicon is right Anotheranon, gamma waves are nuclear. Due to the discovery of shorter wavelength, higher energy x-rays, there is now a large overlap in their frequencies and so they redefined x-rays as being waves emitted by electrons outside of the nucleus and gamma waves as being emitted by reactions within the nucleus, or nuclear as Lexicon said.1321127383607
Flarp: Good thing for Greeft there were no David Banners in said theatre ;-)1321169521292
AnotherAnon: I have learned something new. So do alpha and beta rays (nuclear) still exist, or are they all gamma rays now?1321211952848
Lexicon: Alpha and beta aren't electromagnetic, so they don't fall anywhere on this chart.1321224429300
BarnabyBlack: interesting how i can learn something, be totally disgusted, vent racist comments and fap to 15 year olds all on one easy to use website. Thanks Chan4Chan!!1321229546590
