| What is /incoming anyway? |
| Every minute, the Chan4Chan server crawls forums and other image collections for fresh content. In /incoming, you get to see 200 images / page either in thumbnail or full image view according to your taste. Even with the purging of 4chan-images older than 48 hours, there is still an average of ~35,000 of them at any given time. Moderation is done by moderators and the visitors themselves. Any image can be deleted instantly (or moved to the archive's fresh mode section) with a click. None of the images in /incoming are watermarked or altered in any way. This is the place most of the stuff in /archive comes from. /incoming is also good for having an overview of what is being posted right-now to different boards. By clicking 'src' under thumbnails, you get taken to the webpage the picture was downloaded from. New: Download 5 GB of images at once, in a ZIP file! View them offline. |

| Q: What, /incoming is gone?! A: Not gone. Access is limited to those who support the site. Q: I can't meet any of these stupid conditions. A: Posting 5 images in 30 days that get accepted isn't that hard. Q: How am I supposed to post images if I don't have access to /incoming ? A: Use /submit. But don't start submitting things by the dozen. When you run into something VERY funny or cool, post it. Q: This is stupid, I don't have time for this shit. A: Even if you don't meet any of those conditions, you can still buy a LOLcard to support the site and get access. Q: Stop right there. You want to make money, don't you? A: I want to lose less money while investing more and more time in the site. Throw the first stone. Q: So why not make money with advertising? A: Remember the two huge floating gay banners appearing in the archive from June 10 to July 10? That might have grossed out even the gay visitors. A whole month of that, and it didn't even pay for the hosting. Not again, thank you. Q: There are other banner networks, and options. Try harder? A: Tried 5 different ones, contacted webshops for cooperation, made my own gig-banners, in the long run nothing really worked out. Now I'm doing this another way.
